Terra Memoria

Terra Memoria is a place of interactive discovery recounting history of the Aveyronnais landscape from the creation of the Earth right up to today.

Terra Memoria offers an unusual way of discovering the history of the different landscapes and lands of the Aveyron. During the visit, young and old will be able to manipulate models that will enable them to recognise the rocks depending on the music they play, to make meanders in giant containers, but also to change the shape of the Earth and create mountains, observe how volcanoes are formed and destroyed, find the ancient Détroit de Rodez (Rodez straits) and discover using gigantic models the different soils and lands of the Aveyron. During the visit, you can let yourself be guided by the largest wall frieze in Europe that retraces the evolution of the Earth and through two previously unreleased films on the Aveyron and its landscapes. Lastly the visit finishes with a vertige provoking dive into the famous "Trou de Bozouls" thanks to a viewpoint overlooking this 100m deep and 400m in diameter geological phenomena offering you an exceptional landscape.
